Yacht & Boat Massage in St. Thomas

The first time a guest asked if I could just bring my table onto their catamaran instead of the other way around, I remember thinking — why doesn't everyone do this? Now it's one of my favorite parts of the job. I load up my table, my oils, and a stack of cold towels, and I come straight to wherever you're floating: a chartered yacht at anchor in Christmas Cove, a catamaran tied up at Yacht Haven Grande, or your own sailboat rocking gently off Magens Bay. You don't leave the water. You don't get in a car. The massage comes to you.

I'm Shauna — a licensed massage therapist with 15 years behind the table, based right here in St. Thomas. Yacht and boat massage is one of my favorite sessions to offer, and it's booked just like any other ZenWaves visit: tell me where you'll be and your dates, and I'll do my best to line it up around your day on the water.

What Onboard Massage Actually Is

Let's keep this simple: onboard massage means I bring a full, professional massage setup directly to your boat, yacht, or charter — wherever it's anchored, docked, or tied up around St. Thomas and the surrounding USVI waters. It's the same Swedish, deep tissue, couples, or aromatherapy session you'd book at a villa or hotel room, just set up on your deck, in your cockpit, or in whatever shaded corner of your vessel feels most private.

It's a real, professional session brought to you — not a weeks-out spa reservation, but not something to leave to the very last minute either. Reach out with your dates and I'll tell you honestly what I can fit in.

Where I'll Meet You

Around St. Thomas, I'll come aboard just about any kind of vessel. A few of the most common:

• Chartered yachts and catamarans — anchored for the day or tied up between excursions. I coordinate directly with you (or your crew) on timing.
• Private yachts at anchor — quiet water like Christmas Cove, Honeymoon Beach, or Magens Bay are some of my favorite settings.
• Marina slips and dockside — Yacht Haven Grande, Crown Bay, Red Hook, American Yacht Harbor. If you're tied up and not going anywhere, I'll walk right down the dock.
• Your own boat — sailboat, powerboat, or liveaboard. If you live aboard or you're anchored for the week, this works exactly the same way.

One thing worth saying plainly: you bring the boat, I bring the table. Whatever vessel you're on came with its own captain and crew, or it's yours to run — I'm not driving anything. My part starts and ends with the massage. And if you'd love a private tour or charter to go with it but aren't sure who to call — just ask. What to Expect Onboard Bringing someone? Back-to-back

Boats move, even at anchor, so I set up wherever the deck is most stable and shaded — usually the cockpit, a foredeck cushion, or a shaded aft deck. Sessions work best once you're anchored or docked rather than underway; calm, still water makes for a much better massage than a moving deck.

I bring everything — table, fresh linens, oils, and cold towels for after. Sessions run the same lengths as any ZenWaves visit. Bringing someone? A couples massage on a boat works a little differently than on land. With just me aboard, I work with the two of you back-to-back — one of you relaxes with a cold towel and the view while the other's on the table, then you swap — rather than side by side. (The side-by-side, two-therapist version is something I arrange on land.)

3. I confirm what's possible, load up, and meet you there.

If you're on a charter, loop in your captain or crew so they know to expect me at the boat — a two-minute heads-up on their end is usually all it takes. The more notice you can give, the better: island therapists book up fast, and in busy season some of us are traveling or fully booked — but always ask, and I'll tell you straight what's possible.

A Few Common Questions

Do I need to clear it with my charter company or captain first?

Just a quick heads-up to whoever's running your boat that a massage therapist is coming aboard at a certain time. It's rarely an issue — most crews are used to it.

Will you meet me if we're moving, not anchored?

I always plan sessions for while you're anchored or docked. A moving deck isn't a good setup for either of us, so if you're underway, we'll simply time the massage for once you've dropped anchor for the day.

Can two of us book a couples massage on board?

Yes — with a twist. Since it's just me aboard, it's back-to-back rather than side by side: one unwinds with a cold towel and the view while the other's on the table, then you trade places. (For the side-by-side, two-therapist version, that's something I set up on land.)

Can you help me book the boat itself, or a tour?

I don't run captained tours myself, but I know a few good local captains I trust — tell me what you're dreaming of and I'll point you to the right one.

Are you the boat's captain too?

No — you (or your charter) bring the vessel and crew, and I bring the massage table. I'm working toward my own captain's license on the side and crew seasonal deliveries when I can — but that's personal, not something you're booking here.
